Selling Maps to Geolmaps
We are interested in buying early geological maps, sections or illustrations, individually or whole collections, and would be pleased to hear from you if you have something you are contemplating selling.
Ideally, we would like to see items for appraisal, but where this is not possible, photographs and a description may be sufficient. Please Contact Us to confirm our interest and to agree how we will proceed to inspect the maps – whether you visit us, we come to you or if we arrange it by email and post.
In describing a map, please indicate the survey source or cartographer/publisher, title or number, date, scale, size and condition. Under condition, please say if the map is colour printed or hand-coloured, if it is flat or folded, if it is torn, creased, stained or has holes in it.
