Selecting an Item in the Geolmaps.com Catalogue

All of our catalogues on the website use the same approach to list and display each item. Our primary areas of focus, which we designate as Regions, are geological maps by broad geographic areas, books and illustrations. These primary Regions are displayed in the Main Menu. Each of these primary Regions is subdivided into Sections based on geography, timeframe or subject matter. The Sections appear in the submenus of the website on the top position of the left side bar.

Using a map catalogue as an example you can uniquely identify a specific item of interest.

The Region will be displayed on the top left hand side of the web page, the Page Title. In this example the Region is British Isles. The Section is displayed directly under the Region. In this example the Section is British Isles non-survey - British Isles

In the listings the first column on the left displays a unique Catalogue Number for each item, in this example number 1.

Specifying [British Isles] [British Isles non-survey - British Isles] [No. 1] would uniquely identify the first map in this series.

The Author/Publisher and Description provide additional information on this item.

The column to the right of the Description shows the Price in British Pounds.

Clicking on the Image Thumbnail will display a larger image showing more detail.

Survey maps will have an Index Map that will simplify searching for a specific map.

Also remember to take advantage of our Search Function to find a specific item.

We are constantly adding maps, books and illustrations to our website. Our goal is to make the purchase of any of our items simple and secure. In most cases we provide information that includes:

  2. Author/Publisher
  3. Title
  4. Description
  5. Price
  6. Photo - Clicking on the thumbnail allows you to view a larger image
Our products are specialized and in some cases quite old. For this reason we expect that an interested buyer will want to communicate with us on items of interest prior to making a purchase decision. Here are the steps that we would recommend you follow.
  1. Make note of the specific item(s) you are interested in purchasing from us.
  2. Contact Us with an email indicating your intent to purchase these item(s) or with questions you may have about the items.
  3. Once you have confirmed your decision to purchase with email correspondence, you can indicate your preferred method of payment. Go to our Methods of Payments page to find out which options are available to you for payment. This page also outlines the information on how we will ship the item(s) to you and our return policy.
