 Chart of the Island of Otaheite by Captn Cook publ by Alex'r Hogg, London, 1769 (date on map). Scale of 1"=4mi. approx (no scale on map). Engraved, colour wash. 9.5"x15.5" actual map area 8.5"x14". Prior to geology, but delicate greens convey vegetation and hachuring suggests dissected conical peaks. Delicate In very good condition, flat, clear plate mark. Closely trimmed to plate mark on bottom edge.
